St. Petersburg Yacht Club Hosts Reception for Cuban Officials

From left, Tampa City Councilwoman Yvonne Yolie Capin, Consul General  Alejandro Padron Corral  from the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, Washington D.C., and Iarida Sosa Garcia Friday evening at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club at Pass-a-Grille Beach.  The St. Petersburg Yacht Club,  established in 1909 and one of the oldest yacht clubs in America, hosted the  well-attended  7:30 p.m. reception for  Padron Corral  and  Vice Consul General Armando Bencomo who met and visited with  invited Tampa Bay region civic, business and  governmental officials.  The visit by the Cuban officials included a tour over the weekend of St. Petersburg, a possible location for a new Cuban Cousulate.
