A lecture by acclaimed photographer Jean Pagliuso is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 9) at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, located at 400 N Ashley Drive in downtown Tampa.

The talk by Ms. Pagliuso is about her current exhibition at FMoPA called “Poultry, Raptors, Places of Ritual.”

Ms. Pagliuso will discuss her unique printing and paper-making process and her inspiration for the suite of poultry portraits. The lecture is free for members. Regular museum admission fees apply for nonmembers, according to FMoPA Executive Zora Carrier, Ph.D.

Following a 30-year career as a portrait photographer working for such publications as Vogue, Newsweek, Time and Rolling Stone, Ms. Pagliuso turned her camera lens on a less traditional subject: chickens.

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is dedicated to exhibiting important photographic art as central to contemporary life and culture. FMoPA collects preserves and exhibits historic and contemporary works by nationally and internationally known photographic artists.
