For The Birds” artist statement by Ms. Jeffery

“I’ve long been fascinated with birds and their consistent demonstration of the continuum of life. Each species unique ‘function follows form’ physical characteristics determine how they find a mate, build their nests, find food, and care for and feed their young.  Tiny hummingbird nests versus sprawling eagle nests, tiny thistle seed-eating finches to diving fish catching ospreys,  dark black crows to bright red cardinals – all endlessly artistically inspiring to me.”
