Hillsborough Community College’s Ybor Art Gallery last evening opened a summer exhibition of new works featuring the artists of the Creatives Exchange Artist Collective.

The well-attended opening for “Seeing Now,” a multidisciplinary exhibition,  “is a juried selection of works which share a contemporary woman’s perspective,” according to the gallery.  Featured at the reception was a dance performance choreographed by member Cynthia Hennessy.

Artworks at the exhibit include a variety of media including photography, sculpture, jewelry, painting, video and works on paper.

Creatives Exchange artists featured in “Seeing Now” include Paula Brett, Jenny Carey, Suzanne Camp Crosby, Kimberli Cummings, Melissa Fair, Eileen Goldenberg, Brenda Gregory, Cynthia Hennessy, Victoria Jorgensen, Candace Knapp, Kim Radatz, Debra Radke, Rose Rosen, and Suzanne Williamson.

The HCC Ybor Art Gallery is located at the Ybor City Campus Performing Arts Building, Palm Ave and 15th Street.  The exhibit runs through July 31. — By Greg C. Truax, Publisher
