The opening reception of “Color & Abstraction,” a solo exhibition of paintings by Leslie Jeffrey, is Friday (Nov. 10) from 5 to 8 p.m.

The reception at the Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road in Tampa, is open to the public and will include music and refreshments. (The center is located in New Carrollwood just off South Village Drive.)

“My work is evolving into more non-representational abstraction with emphasis on the marks, mediums, lines and shapes, depth and dimension,” Ms. Jeffrey wrote in a statement to AliveTampaBay.com. “They are becoming more complex and subject to personal interpretation.”

Ms. Jeffrey will show 44 pieces at “Color & Abstraction” which runs through Dec. 31. The center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and  Saturday 9 a.m. to noon, plus additional hours for special events.
