New York Fashion Week Didn’t Disappoint — Think Street Style

TheTrendSpotter: It’s one of the most important weeks on the fashion calendar, and the attendees of NYFW certainly did not disappoint with their street style. Soft tailoring remains a staple for fashion-goers, giving a taste of the ’80s with exaggerated shoulders on blazers and longline trousers cinched in at the waist. Taking a leaf out of the ’90s book, we’re also seeing the rise of Capri pants, worn with a loose blouse, cardigan or crop; frilled dresses and skirts were another popular choice. While a double denim outfit was once considered a fashion faux-pas, this season, it once again secured a firm hold on the city, seen in the form of a structural jacket and oversized or uniquely designed jeans.
