Artist Caroline Karp will release on Friday a series of 15 small paintings “intuitively inspired and formed around a word of intention.”
The multi-layered, 12 by 12 inches mixed media paintings on canvas are from the Tampa Bay area artists Word of Intention Art collection.
“The Word Of Intention Art collection celebrates desires, wishes and dreams and all the emotions we carry as we encounter the end of one year and the beginning of a new one,” the artist said. “The practice of setting a word of the year, or a word of intention (in art), shapes us in a beautiful, organic way. We set intentions not just because of what we get, but also because of who we become on the journey.”
Ms. Karp, whose paintings tell a story of life, has exhibited widely. With more than 40 years of experience, she is known for her large-scale paintings of Sunflowers, Sailboats and A Slice of Life.
Art from the Word of Intention Art collection will be released on Nov. 29 and offered for purchase via the artist’s website www.carolinekarpartist.com and Instagram @caroline_karp_artist. For additional information, contact the artist at caroline@carolinekarpartist.com
