On June 7, 1969, the British supergroup Blind Faith made their live debut with a free concert in London’s Hyde Park. Comprised of members Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker, and Ric Grech, the band would release only one album before breaking up. Clapton and Baker had recently left the power trio Cream, while Winwood had just quit the Spencer Davis Group. Today Blind Faith is considered to be the first-ever supergroup.
