The former NATO Supreme Allied Commander’s offered unequivocal support for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, stressed the importance of supporting NATO allies and provided a riveting account of being wounded under enemy fire during the Vietnam War.

In a short talk, Florida’s senior senator was upbeat about Election Day in November for Democrats. The “election is like driving a car. If you want to go forward, you put it in D. If you want to go backwards, you put it in R.” Nelson also predicted that “Hillary will win Florida by a substantial margin.”
