A Wake-Up Call for Democrats

Welcome back to OnThePoint; this is Greg C. Truax.

The latest domestic migration data should alarm Democrats.  Over the past 20 years, a staggering 9 million more people left blue states like California, New York, and Illinois than moved in, according to a New York Times report.

Where are they headed? Red states like Texas, Florida, and Georgia, drawn by jobs, lower taxes, and what many see as common-sense government.

This population shift has profound political consequences. If the trend continues, the 2030 census could cost blue states 12 electoral votes—handing Republicans a significant advantage in future presidential elections.

If liberal blue states want to compete in the future, my recommendation:  govern  like red states.
