I recently complimented the University of Florida .

The university is dismantling its diversity, equity, and inclusion infrastructure. DEI is a sociopolitical movement. It overrides the idea that equal opportunity is the key to a just society in America.
The DEI program at UF cost taxpayers $5 million annually. But listen to this: An article by OpenTheBooks in Substacks reports that the University of Virginia spends $20 million on 235 DEI employees. The article says that it takes tuition payments from nearly 1,000 undergraduates just to pay the DEI base salaries.
Question: Is this this the best way to use educational dollars?
Or should universities focus on academic excellence, the core mission?
