Your fearless editor drove to Miami for the first time this weekend. After moving to Tampa two years ago, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Our neighbor city to the south did not disappoint. Traveling in low-maintenance fashion, I was able to secure a spot at Beds and Drinks Hostel on James Street, within walking distance of South Beach. If you don’t mind bunking with a group of people and sharing a bathroom, you really can’t beat the price of $28. Oh, and that price comes with a free cocktail at the hostel’s bar.
