LAMPLighters Focus On Children; Celebrate 30 Years Of Serivce

Lights Fashion Hope is an annual LAMPLighter’s event raising money for the children of Metropolitan Ministries and Joshua House. This year’s fundraiser marked the 30th anniversary of the LAMPLighters (Ladies Assisting Metropolitan People), which focuses on the needs of homeless and at-risk children. See photo following page.

In New Orleans, Jazz Fest Now In Full Swing

Street performers next to the celebrated Liuzza’s Lounge & Grill play for gratuities as music ends for the day at the The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which is now in full swing. The annual event, which started last Friday, concludes its first weekend of events on Sunday. Remaining fest days are April 28, 29, 30 and May 1.
