Bella’s Italian Cafe — From Passion to Institution I had the pleasure of dining at Bella’s Italian Cafe way back in 1986 when it was first started by the late Bill Shumate and Joanie Corneil, a seasoned restaurateur. Howard Ave., I couldn’t help but appreciate how it has grown into an institution with a reputation as a go-to place for authentic Italian cuisine./Photo by AliveTampaBayBy Greg C.
