The Dalí Museum presents Dalí in America, a special exhibition exploring how Salvador Dalí’s time in the United States transformed his artistic vision and influenced American art and culture. The exhibition runs through Oct. 18.
The exhibition, which traces Dalí’s journey from his first U.S. visit in 1934 through his rise to international fame during World War II, highlights his work as well as his relationships with patrons A. Reynolds and Eleanor Morse, founders of The Dalí Museum.
Featuring paintings, drawings, photographs and archival materials from the museum’s collection, Dalí in America explores Dalí’s view of the U.S. as a “New World” of creativity and reinvention.
