Former National Geographic magazine photographer Bruce Dale, who has captured some of the most compelling scenes in modern photojournalism, will exhibit more than 50 portraits taken over the course of his career at The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts.

“Bruce Dale’s photography explores different places and perspectives from all over the globe, and yet he somehow always makes them seem familiar,” said FMoPA Executive Director Zora Carrier, Ph.D. “There’s such a universal beauty and relatability to his work.”

“Beyond the Lens,” which runs from July 9 to Sept. 30, features more than 50 portraits taken by Mr. Dale who has traveled to more than 75 countries during his career as a photojournalist.

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is one of about 10 museums in the United States dedicated exclusively to photography and one of two such museums in the state of Florida. Admission to the museum in downtown Tampa is free for members and only $10 for nonmembers.
