On July 26, 1968, the Jackson 5 signed an initial deal with Motown Records. After being mentored by Motown employees and recording their first batch of songs, the group hit it big in 1970 when their first four consecutive singles went to No. 1—”I Want You Back,” “ABC,” “The Love You Save,” and “I’ll Be There.” They were the first recording act in history to achieve this feat.
