New York City: In Posters

The New York cultural institution Poster House is kicking off a pop-up exhibition called Gone Tomorrow, featuring posters from classic venues and cult events from New York City’s history.

“The Bottom Line was one of the most varied smaller concert venues in New York City, featuring the talents of Bruce Springsteen, the Police, Neil Young, Barry Manilow, Miles Davis, the Ramones, Lou Reed and Prince over its lengthy run at 15 West 4th Street,” notes The Guardian. “It closed in 2004 due to rent hikes, and has since been converted in NYU classrooms. The poster remains one of the most memorable of the late 1970s.”
