Hillsborough Community College’s Ybor Gallery will open a summer exhibition of new works next week featuring the artists of the Creatives Exchange Artist Collective.

Called “Seeing Now,” the multidisciplinary exhibition kicks off with an opening reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on June 28 at the gallery located at the Ybor City Campus Performing Arts Building, Palm Ave and 15th Street. Featured at the reception is a dance performance choreographed by member Cynthia Hennessy.

“‘Seeing Now’ is a juried selection of works which share a contemporary woman’s perspective,” according to the gallery. Artworks selected include a variety of media including photography, sculpture, jewelry, painting, video and works on paper.

Creatives Exchange artists featured in “Seeing Now” include Paula Brett, Jenny Carey, Suzanne Camp Crosby, Kimberli Cummings, Melissa Fair, Eileen Goldenberg, Brenda Gregory, Cynthia Hennessy, Victoria Jorgensen, Candace Knapp, Kim Radatz, Debra Radke, Rose Rosen, and Suzanne Williamson.

Creatives Exchange is a collective of professional women artists who serve the artistic interests of the participating artists and engage in the community individually and as a group.  A selected panel of artists from Creatives Exchange will participate in a “Seeing Now” artist talk at 6 p.m. on July 19 at the HCC Ybor Gallery.
