Florida voters have sent a very clear message.
On Election Day, Floridians overwhelmingly cast ballots for Republicans who recorded a clean sweep of five statewide elections. Republicans also added four congressional seats and now hold supermajorities in the Florida House and Senate.
Remarkably, the statewide wins were not squeakers like in recent statewide Florida elections. All Republicans running for statewide office won big — by double digits.
Gov. Ron DeSantis won by 19 points. Attorney General Ashely Moody and Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis were easily re-elected. State Senator Wilton Simpson was elected Agriculture Commissioner. U.S. Senator Marco Rubio won re-elect by16 points.
Republicans now hold all six statewide elected offices, including both U.S. Senators, as voters have brightly painted Florida an enduring Republican red.
