Gov. Ron DeSantis is taking action to protect Florida’s natural resources. The governor, who entered office in January, said he supports legislation to increase fines for environmental crimes by 50 percent. “A hardline increase in fines across the board sends a clear message to those who would pollute our state’s natural resources – Florida will not stand for it,” the governor said.
