Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has withdrawn from the presidential race, but he will continue to shape Florida’s future.

This is Greg C. Truax with OnThePoint.

In Florida, the governor has shown the country how to lead.  He’s placed a conservative stamp on the political and social landscape.  DeSantis has been a key figure in championing educational reforms, emphasizing parental rights, and investing heavily in the Everglades’ restoration.

Economically, Florida has flourished under his leadership with job growth, a strong economy,  a low-tax policy. He paid down debt and produced a state budget surplus.

His handling of the COVID-19 pandemic balanced public health with economic stability and he has been a vocal advocate for law enforcement and public safety.

Governor DeSantis will continue to draw national attention for his strong leadership in the nation’s third largest state.
