Since then, Florida has grown by nearly 2 million residents, making fair representation even more critical. An update to the 2020 Census could potentially yield additional congressional seats for Florida, ensuring Florida’s rapid growth is fully recognized.
By working with Attorney General James Uthmeier, the governor makes clear this is not about politics but principle: ensuring every Floridian counts and has a fair voice in Congress.
