In the Senate, Democrats Block Progress

Welcome back to OnThePoint. I’m Greg C. Truax.

The Republican led U.S. Senate is working hard with more votes cast than any Senate in 40 years. But Senate Democrats actively obstruct and delay important legislative work at every turn.

Example: Of the 1,200 Trump’s presidential nominees requiring Senate confirmation, not one—not one—has received a voice vote.

That’s unprecedented. For Bush and Obama, 90 percent of nominees were confirmed this way. Now, Democrats force up to three hours of floor time per nominee—even for protocol officers and unknown deputy secretaries.

Democrats hijack Senate norms. Then they scream about “protecting democracy” while actively dismantling its functions.

Americans aren’t fooled. They’re fed up.

From the NewsTalk 1040 Studios, I’m Greg C. Truax.
