Welcome back to OnThePoint, I’m Greg C. Truax.

Fifteen years after Democrats jammed through Obamacare — the so-called “Affordable Care Act” — Americans are still paying the price. Premiums have surged, in some categories easily up double digits. And without reform, prices will keep climbing.

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott’s More Affordable Care Act tackles the real problem: too much bureaucracy, not enough consumer control.

The Florida Republican’s plan redirects taxpayer support into Trump Health Freedom Accounts, putting healthcare dollars back in the hands of families — to pay premiums, or other healthcare expenses, and choose what fits.

And by allowing insurance shopping across state lines, it creates real competition and real consumer choice.

That’s patient power — and a serious step toward needed reform.
