President Trump has broadened the GOP’s appeal by framing his agenda as obvious solutions rather than partisan ideology.
Recall that his mantra in the second inaugural address was simple: common sense. “With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense. It’s all about common sense,” he said.
On inflation, he blamed overspending and energy costs. On immigration: “All illegal entry will be immediately halted.”
By casting these issues—along with crime—as straightforward corrections rather than ideological battles, Trump lowers barriers.
Voters – many don’t register with a party — don’t need to be conservative, only looking for common sense solutions.
