Driving around the Florida Suncoast I’ve been seeing my share of out of state license plates.

Tourists are here for sure. But people are moving to Florida which reflects population shifts, according to the 2020 census results.

Notable example:  Florida has gained a U.S. House seat and Texas two seats while California and New York each lost a House seat.

People and businesses are fleeing high tax and spend, culturally liberal states like California and New York, both with Democrat governors.  They are heading to Sunbelt states like Texas and Florida, both led by a Republican governor.

Since 2010, there are  2.7 million more Florida residents. Notable about this population growth is that more Floridians are registering to vote as Republicans than Democrats.
