Sen. Paul: ‘I Don’t See War as Some Grand Game of Chess

Kentucky U.S. Senator Rand Paul

Senator Paul recently spoke at the 125th Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention in Louisville which was attended by veterans from all across the United States. The full speech is in the video.

“As I said during my remarks, to me, there is no more important debate, no more important vote than a vote on whether or not to send our young men and women to war.  I do not take this responsibility lightly. When war is debated, I carefully weigh the arguments for war against the risks to each and every soldier. I don’t see war as some grand game of chess,” the senator said.
