Alex De Corte Talk Set For Tampa Theater

Alex Da Corte, a conceptual artist known for his American pop culture inspired visual arts, is giving a free artist talk⁠—titled Stink! Stank! Stunk!⁠— at 7 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the Tampa Theatre in downtown Tampa. He’ll discuss his creative process and work influences.

The event is presented by the USF Institute for Research in Art.

“Da Corte’s work is inspired by American pop culture, and ranges from surreal immersive video and neon installations to wall-based work and inflatable sculpture,” a press release stated. “He stimulates the collective cultural imagination with colorful characters, products and references from movies, literature, television, mythology and cartoons.”
