Jack White announced the upcoming release of Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016, to be issued on double CD or LP on Sept. 9. The album will contain 26 acoustic recordings spanning his career from the White Stripes to the Raconteurs to his solo albums. Included in the collection is “City Lights,” a song written for the White Stripes’ 2005 album Get Behind Me Satan. The song was completed and recorded for this release. Acoustic Recordings will be released jointly on White’s Third Man Records and Columbia. Liner notes for the collection will be penned by legendary rock critic Greil Marcus.
