Live painting. Wine. Music. Desserts.  The Wandering Eye Art Gallery  in Ybor City is hosting a night that includes all four on Oct. 26, but it gets better – it’s to help support local art teachers in the Tampa Bay area.

“We want to bring awareness that they need help for supplies,”  said Susan DosCher, director of the gallery, located at 1600 E. 8th Ave.

The Wandering Eye will showcase the work of  20 local artists, ranging from sculptures to jewelry to paintings. Five percent of the sales price from pieces purchased from the artists will be donated to the Thornhill Foundation for the Arts.

The event on Thursday starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m. with a $10 suggested donation at the door for the Thornhill Foundation for the Arts.
