Bloomberg: Many Boom-Time Startups Are Fizzling Out?

Sarah McBride writes that, as venture capital deals decline from their peak last year, startups of all sizes are being hit. But the most vulnerable are young companies. The number of companies able to raise second or third rounds of funding fell 25 percent from the same time two years ago.

Meanwhile, venture capital firms are poised to raise the most cash since the dot-com bubble.
