Unity is the real strength of any nation. America has always welcomed—and needed—legal immigrants. But the expectation was simple: come here and join a shared American civic culture.
Diversity without unity isn’t strength. It is fragmentation. Look around the world. Multicultural societies without shared values are often the ones torn by conflict.
America worked not because it celebrated endless difference—but because it was a melting pot, where immigrants adopted a shared American identity.
Unity made the melting pot work.
