President Biden made a quick stop in Tampa. He gave short talk before a small group.
His political team now says Florida is in play. Really? Can Mr. Biden expect to win a deep-red state like Florida? Can he get more votes this November than former President Trump?
Florida is no longer a swing state. Just two years ago, Republicans scored double-digit wins in all five statewide elections – for governor, U.S. senate and the three cabinet seats.
In 2020, Trump topped Biden by 3.3 points, when the Democrats held a registration advantage of 97,000.
Today, Republicans top Democrats in voter registrations by 892,000. An Emerson poll shows Trump leading Biden by 13 points.
Is it realistic to believe Biden can win Florida in 2024?
