Veteran state Rep. Rep. Darryl Rouson with his wife and civic leader Angela Rouson with news reporters and supporters Tuesday evening at his election watch gathering at the Green Bench Brewing Co. in downtown St. Petersburg. The veteran legislator declared victory in the Democratic primary for the newly drawn Florida Senate District 19 that includes parts of Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, but the close results means a recount. Rouson leads state Rep. Ed Narian by less than 100 voters, both with 28 percent of the vote, trailed by former state Rep. Betty Reed and lawyer Augie Ribeiro.
