More than 500 arts, business and community leaders enjoyed the historic charm of Armature Works Thursday evening as the Tampa Bay area celebrated the 30th Annual IMPACT Awards, the popular annual arts recognition event by Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture & the Arts (TBBCA). At the event in Tampa, three big names in the arts community were 2019 IMPACT Award Honorees: Author Michael Connelly received the Lifetime Achievement Award, performance artist Kalup Linzy received the Innovation In The Arts Award and arts patron Lorna Taylor received the Patron of Culture & The Arts Award. TBBCA, founded in 1989, is one of 11 national Business Committees for the Arts. — by Angela Alejandro, Correspondent for AliveTampaBay
