With Ronnie Lane, my friend and  colleague from 620 WDAE, I recently attended the pre-race party for the inaugural Phil Doganiero Memorial 3 Bridges Half Marathon, 5K, and 1-mile fun walk at Marina Cantina. Presented by Clearwater Gas System, the pre-party brought out Clearwater’s best and brightest.

The first-time race was on Saturday (Nov. 11) at Coachman Park in Clearwater. More than 900 people registered for the charity race, which benefits the Clearwater For Youth.

CFY’s mission is to elevate youth sports in our community and to help ensure “no child is turned away” due to financial concerns. CFY offers support through scholarships and grants to “constructive sports programs where children from all levels of society can play together and learn together.”
