Some important news about the Florida governor’s race.
Mason-Dixon Polling, which has been tracking public opinion in the Sunshine State since 1984, is out with a new poll.
Republican Governor Ron DeSantis holds an 11-point lead over former Democratic congressman Charlie Crist.
Statewide, DeSantis has the support of 52 percent of likely voters. Forty-one percent back Crist while one percent is split between two other candidates. Just 6 percent remain undecided.
DeSantis leads throughout Florida, with the exception of traditionally Democratic Southeast Florida, in the poll of 800 likely voters who were interviewed live by telephone statewide from Sept. 26 through Sept. 28.
The governor holds a noteworthy 52 percent to 39 percent advantage over Crist among unaffiliated voters, and DeSantis’ job performance rating remains a positive 55 percent.
