A closing reception for the exhibit “When the Water Rises: Recent Paintings by Julie Heffernan” is scheduled for March 2 at the University of Tampa’s Scarfone/Hartley Gallery.

“When the Water Rises: Recent Paintings by Julie Heffernan” will be on view at Scarfone/Hartley Gallery at the University of Tampa through March 3.

The program on Tuesday (Jan. 9) at UT will feature singer-song writer Timmy Thomas, who will play the keyboard and tell anecdotes from his career, while author John Capouya reads from his newly-released book, “Florida Soul: From Ray Charles to KC and the Sunshine Band” (UPF, 2017).
